Too short

Absolutely loved this game, but I finished it already! I hope youre planning an update for the future. Id be happy with just one more level.

Good stuff

Fun rouge-like with a great story. No IAPs, which is nice. - Could use more content. - Repetitive monsters I personally think its a great buy, and it would def get 5 stars if it werent so short.

So much fun

I must say that Im in love with the game I keep playing it. Its fast and fun!!!

Almost perfect

One of the best dungeon crawlers on the App Store especially since it has no iap. If the devs add support for portrait mode so I can play with one hand I will amend my review to be 5 stars.

Awesome gameplay but not for the price

The gameplay was so much fun. The graphics were beautiful and the dialogue witty. However for $10 I was expecting a lot more gameplay. A very extensive Final Fantasy or Kairosoft game would go a lot more with less cost. If the cost were halved I would not hesitate giving it 5 stars

Not enough levels

This game is very well made and the turn based gameplay is super fun. But for ten bucks I expect a lot of levels and a lot to do. I beat this game with one character in a couple hours. Thats it. Done. You can then replay the same levels with new characters but its not nearly as much fun. A little disappointing. The good: The gameplay is tense and certainly requires thought. The UI is intuitive, text is easy to read even on my now-small iPhone 5s, and theres an interesting and weird story being told.

Great, consistent gameplay

I had to take a star away however. For the price tag the game is much too short, granted you can go back and clear every level with every class. On your first play through you will not accumulate enough gold to upgrade everything at your base or buy all the gear. The gear diversity is also lacking.

Just wow.

This is so well executed, its a joy to play.

Great game

This game is amazing but the reason it is not a 5-star for me is that the story is really short

Great game with some minor flaws.

First of all this is an amazing tactical rogue like game but it has a couple of flaws. 1. A little overpriced for having only 10 levels. 2. I dont know if Im the only one but for me it crashes quite a bit. Especially on good runs. 3. If a treasure chest or pot spawns on the hole or stairs I cant collect - break it. If you maybe half the price, fix some crashes, and maybe make a text box asking you if you want to go to the next floor or not I would defiantly change my rating to 5 stars

Love it but it crashes on my iPad

I absolutely love this game but its crashed on me a few times, once while I had just finally killed a boss. Its such a great game but Im left frustrated that my hard work wasnt saved and I have to tackle a level all over again.

Wow

Best phone game Ive played. I cant put it down!! Lol

Great fun!

The charming characters and variety of unique ways to play the game offer a great introduction into rougeish-likes. The polish on the art/sound/music/gameplay make this well worth the price of admission!

Does not support standard MFi

even though its perfect for a d-pad and costs $10. -3 stars from an otherwise 5 star game

AWESOME

Worth ever penny

Best rouge like on iOS!

This game is challenging, high quality, and has replay value. Love it!

Great game!

This game is awesome! I love the graphics and animations - somewhat rare among rogue-likes. This game is certainly strategic though; I enjoyed discovering new mobs and the strategies best for defeating them. Thanks for the update, it has fixed some lagginess I was noticing after long sessions of play. One point of critique: I dont quite understand the town screen. I seems purely aesthetic, and perhaps a missed opportunity for some mini-game/meta-game strategy element. At least restricting players from building structures they havent unlocked (class specific buildings) would feel more like a reward for progressing in the game.

Sproggiwood

I can not believe how good this game is. I only got it 5 days or so ago (I dunno, the days have all started to blend together since I bought this...) - but its quickly turned into one of my favorite iOS games ever. As for roguelikes, its probably my second favorite (right behind Cardinal Quest 2... which Ive dumped at least 100 hours into, and took the place of 868-Hack, which is another... just outstanding roguelike - if you pick 3 to get into... those are the 3 Id recommend). Especially after playing on the Savage difficulty - its like a completely revamped version of the game. But its also very cool that you can change difficulties on the fly (yeah, mid-level!!), as theres only 1 save slot. The developer has also stated that the controls will be able to be flipped in the update thats being beta tested on iOS right now (along with a couple other tweaks and fixes) - and has been pretty active on Touch Arcade. Im really looking forward to see what comes next out of Freehold Games studio. If its even half as good as Sproggi, it should wind up being a pretty great game. **Update** Thank you thank you thank you!!!! MFi support ROCKS!!! =oD

Fun game, crashes after hours of effort

What the title said. Great game when it works. Spent two hours getting to the boss level of a dungeon only to have the app crash during the loading screen for the stage. As much as I enjoy playing the game, I am not going to continue putting time into something with fatal bugs.

Its spelled ROGUELIKE

That aside, wonderful game. Tough starting out but playing with bought power-ups in easier dungeons becomes enjoyable. Big grind factor, take it as you will. Characters only level in each dungeon and reset at each new one, so gear becomes key. You have to buy unlocked items in town once - I made a mistake thinking they were unlocked in town gratis - so dont jump back into new dungeons without buying what you can!
